Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the hotel's sales efforts to drive revenue growth across all market segments. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients. The Director of Sales will play a crucial role in maximizing the hotel’s revenue potential through effective sales strategies and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop, implement, and monitor strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Identify new business opportunities and markets to drive sales growth.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and actively seek new clients. Conduct regular client meetings, site visits, and networking events to promote the hotel’s services and amenities.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team. Provide guidance and support to achieve individual and team sales goals. Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions to enhance team skills and effectiveness.
Market Analysis:
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt sales strategies accordingly. Provide regular reports and forecasts to the General Manager and other stakeholders.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing, operations, and revenue management teams to ensure alignment and integration of sales strategies. Collaborate on promotional campaigns, special offers, and events to boost sales.
Contract Negotiation:
Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms for the hotel while meeting client needs. Manage and monitor contract performance and compliance.
Brand Standards:
Uphold and represent the Marriott brand standards in all interactions with clients and partners. Ensure consistency in messaging and positioning in line with brand guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong understanding of the full-service hotel market, including corporate, group, and leisure segments.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Proficiency in using sales management software and CRM systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to travel as required.
