Crowheart Energy, LLC is conducting a search for a Sr. Production Engineer. This position is responsible for daily surveillance and optimization of operated wells, coordinating with field staff to optimize and monitor operating expense and management of workover rig operations. As an extension of the surveillance and optimization responsibilities, the Sr. Production Engineer is further responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to management on production performance and optimization efforts. The Sr. Production Engineer will have primary responsibility for managing the LOE budget and optimizing OPEX spend. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience level and qualifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitor the production rate of gas and oil from producing wells, diagnose and identify corrective actions to well production problems

Analyze, interpret, and optimize the performance of individual wells

Monitoring and validating LOE for operated assets

Monthly LOE tracking and accrual preparation in conjunction with Accounting

Monitor LOE budget and report performance on a monthly basis

Monitoring and tracking production downtime

Identify and justify potential well repairs and workovers on candidate wells

Plan and coordinate well repair, workover activities, and facility and construction operations

Identify facility bottlenecks and underperforming/underutilized equipment

Work with the Production Manager to prepare cost estimates and economic justification for various production enhancement, facilities optimization and LOE control projects

Work professionally and respectfully with landowners, regulators, and coworkers while representing Crowheart Energy, LLC

Support field staff and engineers as they troubleshoot challenging wells

Qualifications

Well Control Certificate preferred

Education

A minimum of a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or similar field of study

Specialized Knowledge

Artificial lift design, implementation, and optimization

Gas gathering/compression optimization

Surface facilities design, optimization, maintenance and troubleshooting

Knowledge of and experience with workover operations and downhole intervention (tools, procedure design)

Knowledge of and experience with plugging and abandonment operations (design, execution, and management/troubleshooting)

Knowledge of local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental reporting laws

Skills & Abilities

Strong organizational and time management skills

Good communication skills to interact effectively with co-workers

Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use the internet/e-mail

Self-discipline and strong work ethic

Strong leadership ability

Position requires full ambulatory

Valid driver’s license - MVR subject to review and insurability

Industry Experience

7 - 10 yrs. Production/operations experience (strong preference for recent Rockies/dry gas experience)

Working Conditions

Some field travel will be required (20% - 30%), normal office environment (70% - 80%)

Occasional location supervision responsibilities (workover or P&A operations)

Some overnight travel required
