Learn moreJob SummaryThis position is responsible for performing production work in our Fairfield, CA facility. Preps, packages, inserts products into bags/boxes, adheres to labels, cleans, and inspects products to ensure high quality and compliance with company standards and procedures. Must be able to rotate at least every 2 hours at each of the production machines and locations as needed.Responsibilities and DutiesAssist with production.Clean production area.Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.Feed or place items onto equipment for processing.Measure and pour ingredients.Ensure conformance to specifications.Turn valves to regulate the flow of liquids or gas.Mix ingredients.Mark parts for identification.Place equipment on a conveyor belt for further processing.Scrape waste material from the machine.Record data.Load and unload processing equipment.Package finished products.Pour materials into the machine hopper.Take instructions from supervisors.Efficiently and safely move product to the proper area for use following all department and QA procedures.Sort, wrap, pack, and repack as needed. Transfer finished goods pallets to the holding freezer.Return raw materials, WIPs, or packaging materials to the respective department or location in accordance with the department's procedures for receiving and returning materials.Maintain proper housekeeping throughout the shift and in all departmental areas.Other duties as assigned.Punctual and regular attendance required.Qualifications and Skills6 months experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.Strong organizational skills, with an ability to build trust, provide direction, and execute with excellence to achieve extraordinary results.Ability to prioritize and follow through to achieve results and meet deadlines to meet the needs of the business.Good communication skills, both oral and written, and strong managerial skills including good judgment, planning, organizing, innovative approach to problem-solving, and motivating employees.While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand and walk; use hands to feel; and reach with arms. Occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. Required to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Additionally, you must be able to lift and or move more than 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision. You will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Schedule2:30 PM - 11 PM.
