Your future starts here – seize the opportunity and join the TAIT team today!Position DescriptionThe Project Manager will oversee various projects to maximize profitability, exceed client expectations, and deliver quality products. Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient service delivery, monitoring health and safety, preparing estimates, and leading other project managers. The role involves managing large public works and Federal projects, supervising teams, interacting with stakeholders, and handling environmental cleanup. The individual will also manage project risks, schedules, and costs, oversee workforce training, design risk mitigation plans, and establish performance standards and professional development goals.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide Sales & Consulting of commercial Fueling Systems, System Design, Civil Engineering, Testing and Maintenance Services to the Northern CA office and beyond.Must have a high level of communication.Manage various projects in a manner that minimizes risk, maximizes profitability to the company, surpasses the expectations of clients, and ensures a quality product that meets or exceeds the industry standard.Provide services in an efficient and timely manner.Conduct business in a safe, ethical, and professional manner.Monitor the implementation of the health and safety policy at job sites.Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Project Manager/Client Manager at a high level.Prepare or review and approve estimates, bids, and proposals.Provide leadership and mentoring to other project managers and field staff.Manage construction of large public works and Federal government projects.Represent the department and executive team by being a liaison on high profile projects by ensuring issues, risks, or interdependencies are monitored, pulling key stakeholders together to address, and/or elevating to Executive Management for resolution.Provide informed recommendations on projects and ensure all PMO-tracked projects are aligned with the department's business objectives and the strategic plan.Responsibilities include supervising a team of equipment operators, field technicians, site vendors and subcontractors. Must be able to interact with clients, engineers, regulators, etc.Oversees the monitoring, tracking and identification of potential risks of all departmental high priority, legislative, legal and Department Head initiated projects.Ability to develop project budgets and manage schedules, track costs, read blueprints, and complete and submit project permit submittals.Assignments include site construction activities including earth moving, backfilling, pipe installation, grading, capping and industrial related services.Oversees the training and development of the departmental workforce in process improvement and Project Management methodologies. Design risk mitigation plan.Establishing performance standards and professional development goals for the section.Minimum Work ExperienceKnowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.Managing one's own time and the time of others.Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.Preferred Education and Skills Experience5 years as a Construction Manager with increasing responsibility.BS degree in Construction Management or equivalent industry experience and licensure.Excellent & professional written and verbal communication skills required.Candidate must possess the ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain professionalism and composure while working under strict deadlines.Ability to work calmly and effectively in a high-volume office and field environment; be self-motivated and process oriented; critical thinker and problem-solving skills.Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimum supervision.Ability to manage projects and programs in a positive, effective manner while maintaining adherence to deadlines, policies, and procedures.Physical RequirementsAbility to set up travel arrangements.Ability to travel when required.Ability to work in an office and field environment.Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.Occasionally carrying, lifting, moving up to 20lbs.Ability to drive to/from client meetings and/or job sites as needed.Ability to read, write, and communicate professionally with all team members, clients & vendors.Salary and BenefitsSalary range for position: $50,000/yr - $130,000/yrBenefitsTAIT invests in you by providing a comprehensive compensation and benefits program along with the opportunity for professional growth and development.
