Position Summary

While working with a multi-disciplinary team, the Continuous Improvement Leader is responsible for the improvement of all business processes related to production by deploying a variety of tools, processes and concepts that improve business performance and by ensuring associate actions and activities to support business goals. The CI Leader will work with other business leaders in the business to drive transactional and manufacturing improvements within the business. The role will oversee all lean activity and manufacturing site transformation. This position will be involved in the complete life cycle management of all lean activity and manufacturing site transformation, and implementation on the manufacturing floor. This role is based out of Flowery Branch, GA, and reports to the Plant Manager of the Business Unit.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitate and lead teams in company Kaizen and improvement efforts.

Develop and implement training on efficiency and inspire change with employees.

Lead capital requests and projects for the facility.

Implement new processes to maintain a high level of productivity.

Provide technical direction and application support to manufacturing staff and supervisors.

Promote and facilitate the diagnosis of flow of work and information (Value Stream Mapping) to identify improvement priorities.

Develop and deploy lean and growth tools throughout the organization.

Perform benchmarking studies as required.

Generate cost estimates for continuous improvement projects.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and conduct evaluations for advancement.

Provide leadership to all shop floor personnel and supervisors.

Perform other continuous improvement related tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Experience and Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree required.

3+ years in a manufacturing or technical environment.

3+ years’ experience with continuous improvement.

Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Technical Skills

Root cause/corrective action analysis is required.

Familiarity with Lean practices is required.

Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 standard is preferred.

Power BI Experience is preferred.
