Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Creative Writer and Communication Strategist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for crafting compelling content, a keen understanding of communication strategies, and the ability to engage diverse audiences across various platforms. This role is crucial for enhancing the Innovation Office’s voice, driving engagement, and supporting our objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

Write, edit, and proofread high-quality content for various platforms including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, press releases, and marketing materials.

Develop engaging and SEO-friendly short-form and long-form content that resonates with our target audiences.

Work with subject matter experts to create content that reflects their expertise, including distilling content from multiple SMEs into unified messaging.

Help produce and edit executive level presentations, narratives, and research documents that capture the Innovation Office’s thought leadership on the future of work and technology.

Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that supports our campaigns and initiatives.

Social media posts including graphic and video creation.

Communication Strategy:

Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with our business goals.

Analyze audience insights, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform content and communication approaches.

Manage and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent delivery of content across all channels.

Brand Voice and Messaging:

Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all content and communication channels.

Work closely with the brand team to maintain and evolve our brand voice.

Develop key messaging and positioning for new product launches, campaigns, corporate communications, and Innovation work.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Work in partnership with Innovation Office teams to highlight their work and coordinate messaging across the organization.

Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, design, sales, and product to align content efforts with overall business objectives.

Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and partners to produce high-quality content.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Monitor and analyze content performance using relevant metrics and tools.

Provide regular reports and insights on the effectiveness of content and communication strategies.

Adjust strategies based on performance data to optimize engagement and reach.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.

Proven experience as a content writer, copywriter, or communication strategist.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Strong understanding of SEO principles and content marketing strategies.

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas.

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $98,100 - $161,900, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
