is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the general operating maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the physical plant, both the interior and exterior of the Community, to maintain proper operations of the property. They will oversee the general operations of the maintenance department and housekeeping department to ensure that the property is maintained in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner in accordance with property policies and procedures.Responsibilities:Demonstrate mechanical ability and/or capability of self-teaching to work on equipment such as washer/extractors, dryers, refrigeration and heating units, ice machines, and perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs.Electrical Duties:

Troubleshoot and repair electrical difficulties including wall switches, interior/exterior lighting, receptacles, loose wiring, and resident call systems.Structural Duties:

Plan, order, and install cabinets for remodeling of apartments. Perform carpentry duties such as repairing or replacing sheetrock and structural materials.Painting Duties:

Plan, order, and perform painting requirements (interior/exterior) of the entire complex, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal EPA guidelines.Plumbing Duties:

Plan, order, and perform minor plumbing repairs including faucets, showers, and drains.Conduct daily inspection of the property’s outside grounds. Immediately correct any needed items to assure the property is always tour-ready.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Two (2) years experience in the building industry, maintenance and/or housekeeping preferred.One (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees preferred.Able to safely operate a wide variety of equipment and tools.Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care.Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals.Able to be flexible, adapt, and respond to change, make decisions in stressful situations, and prioritize tasks and projects.Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.Oakmont Management Group , based in Irvine, California, is a recognized leader in the senior living industry that manages a portfolio of communities under the Oakmont Senior Living and Ivy Living brands.
