What will you be doing?

The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for planning and overseeing all food & beverage outlet operations to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

Director of Food & Beverage responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Overseeing all restaurant operations, special events and other F&B related activities

Resolving guest complaints or issues

Training, coaching and enforcing corrective action to Food & Beverage associates

Coordinating activities with other hotel departments to facilitate communication and guest satisfaction

Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and conduct in accordance with regulations

Ensuring proper communication within the department by conducting regular meetings with all team members

Recruiting new hires, training, coaching and counseling team members, following company, state, and federal regulations

Managing finances of the departments, including budget and inventory controls

Controlling expenditures, labor, supplies, etc. in relation to resort financial forecasts and budget

Communicating with upcoming groups to organize all on-site functions

Other job duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

Previous food & beverage management experience required

Resort/Hotel food & beverage experience strongly preferred

Proven experience in effectively leading teams

Prior banquet and special event experience strongly preferred

A high level of enthusiasm and flexibility

Ability to maintain a high level of guest interaction & satisfaction

The capability of proposing creative ideas to develop staff and procedures

Strong sales building skills

Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with guests, coworkers, and supervisors

Celebrating successes and coaching or counseling managers or team members on deficiencies

Proficiency with general office PC applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases)

Ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals/direction quickly and multitask

Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail

Teamwork and collaboration
