The Simplot T&H Supervisor role is responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising the location's employees in all facets of day-to-day operations including but not limited to: ensuring company safety protocols are adhered to, delivery logistics, general accounting practices, inventory control, product procurement, and maintaining warehouse equipment and Commercial motor vehicle operation and service records.Key Responsibilities
Responsible for monitoring general safety policies and procedures to ensure regulatory requirements are met for the overall safe operation of the business unit and assigned employees.Supervises CDL driver workforce on logistical operations and general maintenance of the Commercial Motor Vehicle fleet and associated delivery equipment.Organizes and supervises day-to-day operations and determines work practices and procedures to optimize utilization of resources.Performs recordkeeping functions and general accounting practices related to inventory, delivery scheduling, product procurement, employee files, etc.Interfaces with sales force on product forecasting and general customer requests.Typical Education
Associates Degree (A.A. or A.S.) Equivalent experience of education and experience will be considered for meeting the minimum requirements of the role.Qualifications
Supervisory, planning, organization, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.General warehousing knowledge/inventory management; Turf & Horticulture knowledge a plus.Proactive in providing customer service and support beyond typical operational needs.Analysis and problem-solving abilities to deal with out-of-the-ordinary assignments.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel.Other Information
