Job Responsibilities

A thorough knowledge and understanding of SPC’s prefabrication processes.Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support the professional development of team members.Work closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to understand project requirements and timelines, ensuring that materials are built and delivered to the site according to their specific needs.Requires good, clear and concise communication between team members of where packages are in the workflow.Verification that all processes in the workflow are complete and meet quality standards. Take immediate action to correct any variances.Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the fabrication shop.Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines and client requirements utilizing STRATUS and other metrics.Monitor workflow and adjust schedules as needed to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.Consistent verification that all processes are completed on time. Take immediate action to correct any variances.Establish and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of fabrication workmanship.Coach commitment to following LEAN processes in fabrication.Qualification Requirements

5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ensures SPC Mechanical’s values are understood and acted upon by fostering a culture that is characterized by safe work practices, unconditional teamwork, servant leadership and winning attitudes.Encourages and seeks opportunities for collaborative efforts, seeks understanding of issues, anticipates and troubleshoots problems, and resolves urgent and ongoing matters.Monitors BIM and Prefab processes to ensure all project teams are following the SPC Standard Operating Procedures.Assist in developing SOPs within the BIM department and prefabrication shop.Participate with our Preconstruction team in project interviews to discuss and promote SPC prefabrication/modularization opportunities and benefits to our clients.Participate in planning sessions with GC’s to review/present prefabrication schedules and coordination.Conduct kickoff meeting for each project with SPC construction team to identify prefabrication opportunities.Review and communicate prefabrication issues to construction teams as early as possible to allow for timely GC communication.Responsible for keeping field, BIM, and Prefab teams aligned through communication throughout the duration of the project.Monitor QAQC in both operating units and require plans of corrective action when necessary.Evaluate productivity in both units and require plans of corrective action when necessary.Monitor and react to coordination and prefabrication capacities to ensure department schedules are met whether by staff personnel or through subcontractors.Routinely visit active jobsites in search of production and quality feedback from SPC internal clients.Monitor prefabrication shop capacity as needed to ensure prefabrication schedules are met.Monitor and make recommendations of purchases of prefabrication software and equipment.Monitor and make recommendations for care and maintenance of fabrication facility.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
