Job Description:
Hogan Brothers, an Aventura FL based General Contractor & Construction Management company founded in 2007, is currently seeking a Senior Estimator / Estimator. Must have the ability to manage multiple large bids including midrise & highrise for mixed-use, multifamily, hospitality, resort & office projects. The company provides an opportunity to be involved personally with a high growth company that maintains a close-knit family environment. HB projects range from $20M to $120M. The firm is widely respected as a boutique type firm with large scale project capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project plans and specifications to create project scope, specifications & requirements.
Obtain clarifications on plans & specifications from architects, engineers, consultants, & subcontractors/supplier/vendors.
Perform detailed quantity & scope takeoffs by division using HB estimating format and create detailed estimates and qualifications.
Create project schedules & logistics plans.
Prepare bid packages & document distribution.
Analyze & compare subcontractor, supplier & vendor bids.
Identify cost saving & value engineering opportunities.
Track subcontractor, labor & equipment costs and monitor any foreseen escalations or reductions in costs as related to estimates.
Review bids & make recommendations with HB Senior Management.
Substantiate in detail final estimates.
Preconstruction:
Attend project site pre-bid meetings and site tours when necessary.
Lead pre-construction meetings and estimate reviews with HB Senior Management & Owner/Developer/Clients.
Maintain open communication with Owner/Developer/Clients.
Solicit & maintain strong relationships/communications with subcontractors, vendors & consultants during preconstruction as well as bid process and construction.
Software:
Proficient in industry standard construction estimating & scheduling software along with general business operating software.
Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the South Florida market in commercial estimating with a large scale General Contractor.
Construction Management, Engineering or Related Degree.

$95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
