This means that we bring our whole selves to work.AXIS is seeking a Senior Property Claims Specialist to join our North America Claims team. Reporting to the manager of Property Claims, this role handles claims to determine the nature of loss, coverage provided, and scope of claim, and makes recommendations regarding settlement/disposition of claims. This role acts as the highest-level individual contributor handling a pending of complex E & S Property claims and develops and maintains relationships with internal and external partners.Please note: AXIS follows a hybrid work schedule and requires 3 days in office.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Exercising proper judgment and decision making to analyze the claims exposure, determine the proper course of action, and appropriately settle the claim.Utilizing critical thinking and solid judgment to solve problems, make decisions, and resolve complex issues inherent in handling losses, as well as plan and organize activities throughout the claims management process.Documenting damage or loss associated with claims timely and effectively and in a manner that supports the outcome of the claim file.Investigating potentially fraudulent claims and taking appropriate action.Making recommendations for settlement/disposition of claims.Attending mediations, arbitrations, and other claim meetings as needed.Interacting extensively with various parties involved in the claim process.Participating in presentations and discussions with Underwriters.Required Education/Training and Experience:

Bachelor's degree required.Minimum of 5-10 years property claims adjusting experience required, including:Technical knowledge, skills, and training within the field, including confidence in coverage, liability, evaluation, and reserving.Solid negotiation and good settlement skills.Supervisory perspective, with experience providing direction and authority to adjusters.Valid licenses by state as required and adding states to certifications as needed.Availability for occasional travel.Other Desired Skills and Characteristics:

Good interpersonal communication skills.Excellent Microsoft Office Skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, and SharePoint.Excellent writing skills.Good negotiation and analytical skills.Team player who is flexible, organized, efficient, and timely.Proven success working in a hybrid work environment.For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $110K - $137.5K (GA). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
