We are working with our client, Life Unlimited Inc., a leading organization supporting people with developmental disabilities in the Kansas City area, to find a dynamic and experienced Director of Brand Strategy. This role is pivotal in enhancing the brand visibility and storytelling of Life Unlimited Inc., to support its mission of providing unlimited possibilities for people with disabilities. The Director will lead the development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies, focusing on increasing awareness, engagement, and support for their services. This role is onsite at their beautiful offices located in Downtown North Kansas City, MO.Responsibilities:Develop and Execute Brand Strategy: Create and implement a holistic brand strategy that aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Life Unlimited, Inc. This includes market analysis, brand positioning, and messaging.Storytelling and Content Creation: Lead efforts in storytelling to highlight the impact of Life Unlimited Inc’s services and the stories of the individuals they support. Develop compelling content across various channels.Marketing Campaigns: Oversee the planning, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, leveraging digital, social media, and traditional marketing channels.Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders. Create a strong case for support to drive fundraising efforts.Brand Consistency: Ensure brand consistency across all communications and marketing materials. Develop and enforce brand guidelines.Public Relations and Media Management: Plan and implement PR efforts to promote Life Unlimited, Inc. and its mission; Manage media relationships to expand public service announcements and encourage participation in fundraising events; Use and update the PR list to disseminate press releases and maintain media contacts.Performance Measurement: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of branding and marketing initiatives. Analyze performance data to optimize strategies and tactics.Financial Management: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve strategic goalsTeam Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing marketing team. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.Qualifications:Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, or related fields. Experience in nonprofit marketing is a plus but not required.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.Excellent storytelling and content creation skills.Proficiency in digital marketing, including social media management.Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring effective and efficient execution of marketing strategies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Lead and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination across all departments and maintain up-to-date information.Innovative and self-driven with a collaborative mindset.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.Commitment to promoting equity, inclusivity, and the mission of Life Unlimited, Inc.
