Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating the SPC program's 911 diversion activities, providing operational guidance to the participants and the program, and ensuring compliance with program standards, contracts, policies, procedures and guidelines. This position is also responsible for collaborating with first responder organizations and emergency service providers to establish a broad base of crisis response services.

Primary Duties

Program Management

Support the Project Director as the operations manager for the SPC 911 diversion programs.

Coordinate monthly check-in/data review meetings with LAPD Communications team.

Participate in community-facing suicide prevention training and outreach efforts, related to 911 diversion programs.

Coordinate staff site visits to participating dispatch centers.

Coordinate and provide roll call training (along with Project Director).

Coordinate virtual (ongoing) roundtable convening opportunities for crisis center and dispatch staff.

Provide guidance and feedback to Shift Supervisor staff on volunteer performance.

Support SPC training team in identifying Shift Supervisor and Crisis Counselor training needs related to 911 diversion and crisis response.

Recommend development and implementation of training sessions and participate in delivering training sessions to meet the program needs.

Work with the SPC crisis line management team in the maintenance and development of crisis center processes and procedures, as they relate to the 911 diversion programs.

Attend, participate, lead and/or facilitate routinely scheduled meetings as requested or required for the program, division, or Agency.

Program Quality, Compliance and Reporting

Routinely monitors crisis calls, reviews call reports and provides feedback and consultation to Shift Supervisors.

Lead person to receive and track EOS (end-of-shift) report notations related to 911 diversion.

Responsible for running weekly QA reports and manage follow up on all instances of non-adherence.

Measure progress against plans and stated goals as it applies to program documentation.

Review reports prepared by program staff to ensure all legal, contractual, and revenue-generating reports meet or exceed required agency and applicable regulatory agencies' standards.

Ensure all administrative documentation, including data submission, is accurate and submitted within the established timeframe, and analyze information and prepare routine reports including those used to assess performance.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Public Health, Social Work, Communications or a related field.

5 or more years professional experience in crisis services, non-profit, public health, dispatch or law enforcement settings.

Background and expertise in behavioral health, social work, the criminal justice system, and/or crisis services work.

Demonstrated ability to create and maintain positive relationships with diverse community groups including communities of color, immigrant groups, the disability community, and other traditionally marginalized and non-dominant culture groups.

Demonstrated project management skills including planning, developing timelines and implementation of projects.

Ability to present ideas, information, and viewpoints clearly, both verbally and in writing, and to engage any individual regardless of background.

Personal computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and other related software.

Ability to use analysis, experience, and judgment to make effective decisions.

Demonstrate a strong ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting, managing time and tasks effectively without direct supervision.

Exhibit excellent collaboration and communication skills, actively engaging with team members and contributing to collective goals through virtual meetings, shared platforms, and consistent updates.

Current California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
