The Universal Banker role consists of assisting clients by providing exceptional customer service, accurately and efficiently performing all paying, receiving, and collection functions. Responsibilities include processing transactions, adhering to strict security measures, and maintaining strong balancing procedures. The Universal Banker is cross-trained in all servicing functions of the platform to support bankers and assist clients as needed, such as opening accounts, wire transfer input, change of address, and client research. The role ensures accuracy, excellence in client service, and compliance with security and bank regulatory procedures. The Universal Banker actively meets client needs and identifies cross-selling opportunities, and may provide guidance and training to other Universal Bankers. At the direction of the Banking Center Manager, the Universal Banker will help ensure scheduling meets client needs.Engages in conversation with clients by actively listening and asking questions, and introduces clients to other CNB team members to proactively help meet their financial needs.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Proactively greets clients to establish a connection and develop rapport, providing outstanding, personalized client experience.Client Services duties include assisting clients in the lobby and referring them to appropriate bank personnel to meet their financial needs.Executes a variety of transactions in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, with high accuracy and efficiency.Consistently meets and/or exceeds assigned individual and team referral/sales goals.Identifies client profiles and needs, asks revealing questions, and ensures client retention and satisfaction.Develops business sales leads by gathering additional information about potential clients.Maintains confidentiality of all information obtained.Promotes the Bank's products and services.Adheres to cash handling, operational, security, and BSA/AML policies and procedures.Serves as backup to Business Transaction Leader for complex transactions and monitors security policies.Responsible for opening and/or closing the branch as part of a two-member team.Provides timely and efficient client service by assisting the banking center team.Handles checks, debit/credit tickets, and other transactions such as loan payments.Ensures accuracy and adequacy of bank currency and coin supply.Cross-trained in all areas of client service including account openings and wire transfers.Ensures timely scanning of teller work through branch remote capture.Responsible for sending files and documents for storage following bank guidelines.Contacts clients to verify new payees when initiated.Responds to internal/external client phone calls and emails.May assist with other duties in the Business Center.Educates clients on all digital products.Completes domestic/international wires according to authorization limits.Increases Bank relationships through cross-selling and client service.May assist with training Universal Bankers.Handles additional responsibilities including performing ATM/Vault balancing.Qualifications

5-7 years of prior banking experience, including cash handling, sales, and client service.Knowledge of bank teller procedures and online computer systems is necessary.Strong sales background is a plus.Professional demeanor/appearance.Proven abilities in needs-based sales and high-level client servicing skills.Ability to prepare or interpret detailed written materials and perform detailed mathematical functions accurately.Able to handle complex transactions efficiently.Be security conscious, accurate, and attentive to detail.Understanding of compliance with Federal & State laws governing teller areas.Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals and maintain high client service levels.May need to work extended hours, including weekends.Education
