www.ouro.com .About the Role:Ouro Global is hiring a VP – Compliance to oversee the global AML/CFT compliance program for the company and its products, which include prepaid cards, deposit accounts, money transmission, international remittances, electronic money (in Europe), and, in the near future, lending and insurance.The VP - Compliance is the designated AML/CFT Officer for the company. For the U.S. programs, the VP - Compliance oversees the company’s Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program, which includes customer identification and suspicious activity monitoring/reporting, as well as overall AML, Patriot Act and OFAC compliance. For international programs,the VP - Compliance oversees the establishment of policies and procedures to be implemented by the local AML/CFT compliance teams.In both the U.S. and overseas, the VP - Compliance together with the Chief Compliance Officer will play a leading role in strengthening the company’s overall compliance management system.The VP regularly interacts with executive management and the board and intensively cooperates with various teams. The VP must possess comprehensive knowledge of applicable law, regulatory guidance and financial industry practices. Additionally, the VP must have quantitative skills to evaluate and implement models, machine learning and artificial intelligence in various AML/CFT applications, such as transaction monitoring.This position will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and will be part of the Legal Department based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas.You will have lots of opportunities to tackle exciting projects and work with a highly diverse, qualified and motivated team.You’ll be a great match if you:have approximately 15 years experience in AML/CFT compliance, including working for a regulator and/or a bank,

Responsibilities:Leading and managing the AML/CFT compliance team, providing mentorship and fostering a company-wide culture of compliance and ethical behavior,

Developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive compliance program and compliance management system (including policies and procedures) that ensures the company adheres to all applicable laws and regulations,

Reporting to executive management, board, and board committees,

Performing compliance testing, risk assessments and implementing corrective actions,

Helping coordinate regulatory exams, internal audits and independent audits related,

Developing and implementing training programs,

Ensuring compliance with various reporting requirements (including SARs, CTRs)

Serving as primary as liaison with regulators, banking partners, distributors and service providers,

Effectively cooperating with various teams, including operations, risk management, product, and internal audit,

Working with AML/CFT compliance quantitative data analysts to improve effectiveness of transaction monitoring systems,

Supervising employees reporting to the position,

Monitoring regulatory changes and providing guidance on their impact on the company's operations,

Collaborate with other departments, including Legal, Risk Management, and Internal Audit, to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance.

Develop and deliver training programs to employees on compliance-related topics.

Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage all interactions with regulators.

Prepare and present reports to senior management and the board of directors on the status of the compliance program and any significant compliance issues.

Investigate and resolve compliance issues and incidents, implementing changes to prevent recurrence.

Ensure the company's policies and procedures are up-to-date and reflective of current regulatory requirements.

Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization.

Qualifications:Approximately 15 years of experience in compliance, with significant experience in a banking environment operating in federally-regulated space. Past experience working in both federal regulator and/or bank are preferred.

Proven ability developing and implementing compliance programs in a fast paced environment.

Strong knowledge of federal regulation of financial institutions and state and federal regulation of money services businesses and emerging payments issues, including laws and regulations under the purview of FinCEN, CFPB, FTC, FDIC..
