Job Description - Data Coordinator (240000GA)DescriptionResponsible for maintaining research and quality databases, and developing standard and custom reports from these databases, monitoring, analyzing and participating in recommending improvements. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring metrics of success and developing and keeping current a scorecard for distribution. The incumbent may implement or assist with implementing solution design decisions, improvements and tailor the designated application to meet the requirements of the end users. Help in the development of policies and procedures as appropriate, identifies and escalates issues as appropriate. Assist in end-user training and troubleshooting. Assume projects as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Education:Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Minimum Work Experience:2 years' relevant experience (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge:Excellent organizational, project coordination and data management skills. Other essential skills include attention to detail and accuracy; expertise with Microsoft Office components. Ability to work with various types of people and to work under deadlines. Excellent verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office. ACCESS strongly preferred.Functional AccountabilitiesData Analysis and ReportingManage and organize departmental quality and research reports as requested by the Director or the Manager and establish mechanisms to distribute summaries of the reports.Create effective query reports and merge to pull information from databases as requested; manipulate and format data in an appropriate reporting style.Provide regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports using the information stored in database and applications.Work with other members of the division to identify new reporting needs.Generate annual reports and manage initial review of data accuracy.Data EducationAssist in end-user training and troubleshooting to effectively educate end-user to understand their clinical data.Assist in the development of new databases and database applications, and the maintenance and enhancement of existing ones.Data SupportPartner with team members to address data entry, record or quality issues related to the databases; organize, coordinate.Construct accurate graphs and other forms of data representation in a consistent and timely manner.Maintain the integrity of quality and research databases including their coding structures.Participate in special projects as required relating to quality of data, reporting or queries.Organizational AccountabilitiesOrganizational Commitment/Identification:Anticipate and respond to customer needs; follows up until needs are met.Teamwork/Communication:Demonstrate collaborative and respectful behavior.Partner with all team members to achieve goals.Receptive to others’ ideas and opinions.Performance Improvement/Problem-solving:Contribute to a positive work environment.Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to change.Identify opportunities to improve clinical and administrative processes.Make appropriate decisions, using sound judgment.Use resources efficiently.Search for less costly ways of doing things.Safety:Speak up when team members appear to exhibit unsafe behavior or performance.Continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation.Stop in the face of uncertainty and take time to resolve the situation.Demonstrate accurate, clear and timely verbal and written communication.Actively promote safety for patients, families, visitors and co-workers.Attend carefully to important details - practicing Stop, Think, Act and Review in order to self-check behavior and performance.Primary Location:
