Treatment Associate Assistant Supervisor (Hina Mauka Kaneohe)Location:

Kaneohe, HIPosition Summary:Under the direct supervision of the Treatment Associate Supervisor, the TAAS will provide supervision to TA staff in the absence of the Treatment Associate Supervisor. TAAS is responsible for the security and physical conditions of the living environment and the safety and well-being of their supervisees and Hina Mauka residential clients. Communicates and collaborates daily with the TAS and the clinical team. Available to provide scheduled support during programming and non-programming hours to include weekends and holidays. Protects the confidentiality of clients and client records in accordance with all applicable federal regulations.Essential Functions:Works primarily on the swing and grave shifts to include weekends. Provides supervision and training, assigns work, documents staff performance, and advises staff members.Motivates staff in a manner that encourages Hina Mauka values, develops teamwork in accepting and practicing the policies and procedures of the department. Communicates updated and new guidelines and regulations to staff.Reviews department operations to ensure compliance with applicable CARF/DOH ADAD standards and federal and state regulations.Reports unsafe conditions and injuries, illnesses and incidents in a timely manner and ensures that employees perform duties using safe work techniques and in accordance with OSHA safety, health rules and sanitation standards.Serves as the on-duty Hina Mauka staff member during programming and non-programming hours.Responsible for managing crisis and other emergencies in the facility and consulting/notifying the appropriate authorities and program staff.Responsible for fire and safety watch, responding to any client problems, and providing appropriate documentation according to Hina Mauka policies and procedures.Available as needed for informal counseling to clients during non-structured programming.Provide orientation and interprets program handbook to new/existing clients.Maintains communication between clients and other staff.Maintains client records, contributes to progress notes, and conducts chart audits.Coordinates and supervises client activities during non-structured program hours.Under the direction of the Medical Director, may monitor the condition of minor medical conditions, and clients in social detox status. Consults with and reports to RN and the medical team regarding client conditions and need of medical attention.Arranges for client transportation to appointments and emergency medical care as directed by the medical and/or clinical team.Under the direction of the Director of Adult Services will assist counseling staff in providing educational, and skill building services and works closely with other Supervisors.Participates in shift change and may participate in treatment planning conferences and interventions as deemed appropriate.Responsible for the general cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the residential unit.May be required to attend all clinical meetings as scheduled by the Director of Adult Services or the TA Supervisor.Qualification Requirements:Education/Experience and Training:Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and/or Advance Degree in Social work, Psychology or Behavioral Science preferred.Minimum two (2) years experience in a substance abuse treatment or psychiatric treatment setting.Certification in CPR and First Aid.Valid Hawaii State driver’s license and clean abstract.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to work with and relate to clients with substance abuse disorders, including dually diagnosed and criminality.Ability to work and relate well to assigned staff and clients in a nonjudgmental, confrontational manner. Provide opportunities for staff that allow open dialog about work-related challenges.Ability to respond calmly and efficiently to stressful situations with crisis management skills. Encourage and model Hina Mauka values among the workforce and treatment environment.Well organized and able to maintain accurate staff supervision and training records.Physical/Mental Demands:Light physical effort; mostly sedentary work; occasional standing/walking; occasionally lifts supplies/equipment. May be exposed to infectious and contagious disease. May perform emergency care.Protective Equipment:

Use of non-sterile medical gloves and other protective equipment as required.Benefits:
