CLOSED: Data Scientist - Chief Data AnalystWe are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Data Scientist Analyst to lead our data science and analytics initiatives. As the Chief Data Scientist Analyst, you will play a strategic role in shaping our data-driven decision-making processes, developing advanced analytics solutions, and driving innovation across the organization. You will lead a team of data scientists and analysts, collaborate with key stakeholders, and leverage cutting-edge technologies to unlock actionable insights from data.

THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:
Lead the development and implementation of data science strategies, goals, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and industry trends.
Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, and data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Oversee the end-to-end data lifecycle, including data collection, preprocessing, analysis, modeling, interpretation, and visualization.
Drive advanced analytics projects using machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques to solve complex business problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, marketing, operations) to identify data-driven opportunities, define KPIs, and measure business performance.
Establish and maintain data governance, quality standards, and best practices to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain scalable data infrastructure, tools, and platforms to support data science workflows, experimentation, and deployment of models into production.
Stay current with emerging technologies, research advancements, and industry trends in data science, analytics, and AI/ML, and evaluate their potential impact on business strategies.
Lead the communication of insights, recommendations, and project outcomes to senior leadership, stakeholders, and external partners through clear and compelling presentations and reports.
Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and academic institutions to explore collaborative research opportunities and stay at the forefront of data science innovation.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

DESIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience (3+ years) in a senior leadership role in data science, analytics, or related areas, with a track record of driving data-driven strategies and delivering business impact.
2+ years of people management.
Strong expertise in data science methodologies, machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data visualization techniques.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and experience with data manipulation, transformation, and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for scalable data processing and analytics.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive innovation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of data governance, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and ethical considerations in data science and AI/ML applications.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. MBA or business-related qualifications are a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience with standard ML models: Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, Neural Networks, and Hidden Markov Models.
Experience implementing a real-world Recommender or Ranking system.
Worked with the Hadoop Ecosystem.
Implemented multi-core/distributed software, preferably in a Linux environment.
Experience working with Amazon Web Services.
