POSITION OVERVIEW:As the

Director of Tax Accounting and Compliance

, a pinnacle of strategic leadership, your role spans both domestic and international tax areas, involving the calculation of tax liabilities, tax form preparation, external filing/reporting, and tax research, analysis, and interpretation. Beyond conventional responsibilities, this role encompasses Tax Research & Planning—a specialized domain focused on existing, proposed, and new tax legislation.In this specialized area, you will be engaged in researching, analyzing, and interpreting tax laws to determine their impact on the organization's tax liabilities. Your expertise will be pivotal in identifying opportunities for tax optimization and providing strategic advice on the tax implications of proposed transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and asset disposal.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the annual and quarterly worldwide income tax provision process including the effective tax rate, deferred tax calculations, taxes payable, uncertain tax positions, tax account reconciliations, journal entries, and other supporting schedules.

Manage SOX internal controls compliance and reporting in income tax accounting, including the design, documentation, and execution of new tax controls as needed.

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP tax disclosure requirements for SEC Forms 10-K and 10-Q reporting.

Monitor, analyze, and report changes to U.S. and foreign tax laws and regulations to determine the financial statement impact.

Lead research and analyze complex tax issues and transactions, timely assessing the income tax, and accounting impact and communicating findings to senior management.

Collaborate with Treasury, Legal, Human Resources, Business Units, and other corporate office teams to align data flow requirements that effectively meet global reporting and compliance requirements.

Support the design and implementation of tax technology tools and data management solutions to automate and reduce risk in the global tax function.

Lead the income tax budgeting and forecast process including the monthly global cash tax forecast reporting.

Responsible for the Company’s compliance with all U.S. federal income tax laws and regulations through leading the timely and accurate preparation of the Company’s consolidated federal tax return and performing/reviewing more complex processes and reconciliations in the build of the federal return.

Manage the audit defense process including, ensuring appropriate issue analysis and negotiation of audit settlements and continued development of relationship with the IRS and other tax authorities based on trust and transparency.

Develop, coach, and mentor staff and managers through a continuous feedback culture. Manage co-sourcing and outsourcing arrangements with our external service providers.

Support the identification, development, and implementation of tax planning opportunities to continue to optimize both the Company’s worldwide effective tax rate and cash tax outlay.

Assist with planning, structuring, and reporting of acquisitions and divestitures including, modeling of the tax implications of a transaction, purchase accounting, and tax elections.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

CPA/master’s degree in taxation and/or JD/LLM.

Minimum of 12 years of income tax experience managing and developing a diverse group of tax professionals.

Expertise in complex federal, international, and acquisition & disposition transaction tax concepts.

Expert knowledge of ASC 740 with strong application/review experience.

Extensive experience leading federal income tax returns for multinational organizations.

Experience with tax compliance and provision software including ONESOURCE Tax suite of products.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, adept at conveying complex tax concepts to diverse audiences.

Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with effective prioritization in a deadline-oriented environment.

Highly skilled in MS Office suite (primarily Word and Excel).

Demonstrated leadership and management skills, promoting diversity and fostering a collaborative team culture.

Hiring Range: $134,300.00 - $210,980.00Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
