Scope:

APCT is searching for a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the

Director of Procurement . Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, optimizing supply chain operations, maintaining certification compliance, and driving cost-saving initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement to distribution.

Develop and implement strategic plans for vendor alignment.

Optimize the distribution of Purchase Orders (POs) among key suppliers.

Manage the purchasing functions for all fabrication facilities, including assembly.

Maintain comprehensive procurement documentation to ensure certification compliance.

Develop site-specific strategies for managing raw material inventories, ensuring material availability and optimizing inventory turns.

Analyze and explain Profit and Loss (P&L) variances for materials and supplies.

Track supplier performance and implement improvement plans.

Negotiate and manage terms for services, capital expenditures (capex), and raw materials.

Implement cost-saving measures through facility best practices and supplier alignment.

Ensure business continuity of supply chain vendors and services.

Develop sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business.

Maintain relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors.

Evaluate spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.

Communicate regularly with management regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production.

Conduct cost analyses and set benchmarks for improvement.

Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.

Supervise a purchasing team and delegate tasks across departments when necessary.

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) industry.

Demonstrated equivalence of 15-20 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management, with 15 years of experience in sourcing and procurement focused on manufacturing.

Demonstrated ability to process, review, and interpret large datasets on customer usage patterns to uncover new product insights.

Proven track record of developing and executing procurement strategies that drive cost savings, efficiency gains, and value creation.

A strong negotiator with significant experience in contract management, supplier relationship management, and vendor selection.

A strong team builder with significant experience building and developing procurement and supply chain teams.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.

Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.

Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Thorough understanding of company products and logistics processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
