Job Category : Transmission & SubstationRequisition Number : SUBST004425Posted : August 29, 2024Employment Type : Full-TimeLocation : RemoteENTRUST Solutions Group is looking for a Substation Senior Technical Lead - Civil/Structural.What You’ll Do:Perform detailed quality reviews (QA/QC) in accordance with established quality procedures and provide PE stamping for projects as required, assisting in the development of additional Professional Engineers within the team.Conduct studies, calculations, and detailed Civil/Structural Engineering discipline design in support of Electrical Substation and other associated projects.Collaborate with Substation engineering program Directors and PMs in a Subject Matter Expert capacity for coordinating, managing, growing, and developing Civil and Structural Engineering and design services related to Electrical Substation.Lead and execute complex projects from full Civil and Structural scope estimating on proposals, through detailed design and steel procurement, to project construction bidding and construction support.Direct a technical project team on structural steel and concrete analysis, design, and detailing for transmission and distribution electrical substations with voltage classes up to and including 345kV.Review and produce civil/structural design drawings including Site Plan, Grading and Drainage Plan and Details, Foundation Plan and Details, Oil Containment Plan and Details, and Structural Steel fabrication shop drawings.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent.Professional Engineer licensure and ability to obtain reciprocity in multiple states.10-12+ years of civil/structural engineering experience related to electrical power substation design for Coops, Municipalities, and/or IOUs.Experience with RISA 3D, L-Pile, Civil 3D, EnerCALC, and AutoCAD are preferred.Knowledge of standard building codes including IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AWS, ASCE 113, and NESC (Experience with IEEE standards a plus).Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% when needed within the continental U.S.Benefits & Salary:This position pays between $94,120.00 to $148,738.00 annually and is an exempt position.Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident, and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available.
