Summary:

As the

VP, Audit , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness and accuracy of our internal audit processes. You will be responsible for building, managing, and executing audits, tracking audit findings to resolution, assessing risk management practices, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of banking operations, financial systems, and audit methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Audit Planning and Execution:

Develop and manage the annual audit plan based on risk assessment and regulatory requirements. Lead and conduct complex audits across various banking functions, including credit, operations, compliance, and IT. Review and analyze audit findings, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.

Team Management:

Lead and mentor an audit team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality audit work and professional development.

Risk Assessment:

Identify and assess risks within banking operations and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.

Reporting:

Prepare and present audit reports to the Audit Committee, highlighting key findings, recommendations, and risk areas. Communicate audit results and findings to relevant stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and resolution of issues.

Compliance Monitoring:

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards.

Process Improvement:

Evaluate existing processes and controls and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in auditing, banking regulations, and risk management.

Coordination:

Collaborate with various departments and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes and address audit-related issues.

Specifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk management, and regulatory requirements. Experience in banking or financial services is highly desirable.

Certifications:

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.

Soft skills:

Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with senior management and stakeholders.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficient in audit software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
