Your Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Applications Engineer to join our Information Technology team. The successful candidate will support our discrete manufacturing and services business by leveraging their expertise in SolidWorks CAD, SolidWorks PDM, and SolidWorks Manage platforms. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering and manufacturing processes through the optimization and management of our SolidWorks applications.
Key Responsibilities:
SolidWorks Management: Administer and maintain SolidWorks CAD, SolidWorks PDM, and SolidWorks Manage platforms to ensure optimal performance and availability.Process Optimization: Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify and implement process improvements using SolidWorks tools.Customization and Integration: Customize SolidWorks applications to meet specific business needs and integrate them with other enterprise systems.User Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to users, ensuring they are proficient in using SolidWorks applications.Data Management: Ensure the integrity and security of data within SolidWorks PDM and Manage systems.Project Management: Lead and participate in IT projects related to SolidWorks, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for systems configurations, processes, and procedures.Compliance: Ensure all applications and processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Travel: 10% for training and collaboration with other teams, manufacturing site locations (domestic).
Location: This position will be office-based onsite in our Chandler AZ office or Allentown, PA office
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar degree.3+ years of experience working with SolidWorks CAD and SolidWorks PDM.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SolidWorks Manage platform is highly preferred.Previous experience in a discrete manufacturing and services environment is a plus.Proficiency in administering and customizing SolidWorks applications.Strong understanding of CAD and PDM principles.Some experience in 2D Dev formats such as DraftSight and AutoCAD Experience with integration of SolidWorks with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).Working knowledge of SQL and database structures, VBA, (C# preferred)Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a tea .Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
