Huitt-Zollars' Dallas, TX office has a full-time opportunity for a Project Controls Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong organizational and customer service skills, and a keen sense for detail. The successful candidate will have a professional demeanor, proficient Microsoft office suite skills and a year or more of previous experience in an architectural, engineering and/or construction management environment. Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Accounting or FinanceDuties:Develop, track, analyze, forecast and report on project budgets, estimates, commitments, expenditures, project progress and productivity, work plans and schedules, projects cost at completion, WBS cost coding, subcontracts and change management.Utilize Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint: Project based ERP for Professional Service Firms.Work closely with Project Managers and Project Accountants to support the project profitability goals of the firm.Update activity data, logic, resources, progress, expenditures and review activity durations and logic sequence.Assure change management systems and processes are implemented and followed.Identify potential project problems early, report issues to manager and work with project team to implement recovery plans.Utilize the ERP and Business Systems to do cost analysis, cash flow and other cost evaluations.Produce planning and scheduling reports and analysis.Provide project controls administrative support with report and presentation preparations, record maintenance and scheduling.Provide additional support as required/needed by the project manager(s) or project controls manager.Perform project controls general administrative and clerical functions.Assist the project controls manager with other special projects, as needed.Key Responsibilities:Understands, follows, and enforces Huitt-Zollars' business process.Productively collaborates with others and leads or encourages teams to achieve success and camaraderie amongst each other.Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Ensures quality control measures are being adhered to on projects and daily operations.Understands duties and responsibilities, possesses necessary job knowledge and technical skills, maintains job knowledge current.Assist with appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the project team and office.Complete assignments on-time, within budget, and with highest level of quality.Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish assignments.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting.Minimum 5 years of previous experience.Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.Proficient in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint: Project based ERP for Professional Service Firms.Good verbal and written communication skills.Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and with a team.Flexibility and problem-solving skills.This position is also required to adhere to Huitt-Zollars' Core Value Competencies.About Huitt-Zollars:Huitt-Zollars, Inc. is a privately held, 100% employee-owned leading Architectural and Engineering (A/E) firm since being established in 1975.
