Join an in-house design team where you'll work closely with top award-winning designers and team members while diversifying your portfolio. This is an exciting chance to live in the growing city of Las Vegas while also traveling internationally for major projects.We seek for our 5-star hospitality client a Senior Lighting Designer. The Senior Lighting Designer will contribute to creative projects at all scales and be familiar with current lamp technologies and lighting fixture capabilities. Time management, creativity and good judgment is expected in order to plan and accomplish project goals and meet project deadlines. The Senior Lighting Designer is to be educated in a wide variety of standard lighting design concepts and practices and be proficient with current lamp technologies and lighting fixture capabilities. They also need to understand the workings of different types of theatres, either inside or outside venues, to have knowledge of show controls, such as but not limited to, lighting, rigging, stagecraft, special effects and sound control.QualificationsBachelor of Fine Arts in Lighting Design or a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design with experience in Interior Lighting Design required. Acceptance based on portfolio review, interview and prior job history.Minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience working for a professional lighting design firm, preferably in Casino and Hospitality Design Industry.Must understand lighting design concepts, theory and standard practice.Must have a working knowledge of interior design and an ability to review and correctly interpret interior design documents.Must be proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture 2021 or newer and Revit 2021 or newer.
