Please read carefully before applying.Background : Pitch Labs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that educates, empowers, and inspires young entrepreneurs by providing accessible step-by-step guides, hosting events and workshops, and promoting peer mentorship and development in a community setting. We are 100% volunteer-run and offer all our resources for free online.Our team at Pitch Labs is working to make entrepreneurship accessible. We strive to redefine who can be an entrepreneur, highlighting that being an entrepreneur is not about having a specific degree but pursuing one's innate curiosity to learn and develop. We strive to rewrite the narrative of what a successful business and entrepreneur looks like, recognizing that struggles are simply steps to success. We strive to help students understand both the value of always being a mentor and mentee and the value of harnessing their creativity regardless of what career they pursue in the future.How this Role ties into Our Mission/makes an impact on our Organization overall : As an Entrepreneurship Event Planner, your contribution towards creating events such as scholarships, workshops, speaker series, etc, helps spread the word about our cause and bring value to aspiring entrepreneurs.What We Need : We have a vision, we have a platform, but we need events to connect everyone together. Business reaches every single industry and profession in the world, and that means there are an infinite amount of questions to answer and lessons to teach.*NOTE: Use of AI to write responses in your application will disqualify it from consideration.As an Entrepreneurship Event Planner, you will :Be required to brainstorm engaging and educational event ideas for our target audiences.Create fleshed-out case studies and essay prompts, curriculums for entrepreneurship workshops, etc.Weekly meetings with other Event Planners and the department head to go over each person’s work that week.Working in small groups with other Event Planners to collaborate on content creation, listening to others' inputs, and combining them into a finished product.Meetings with Event Coordinators to go over details of the event and how they would be promoted.REQUIRED Qualifications :MUST reside in USA (EST time zone preferable)MUST have a background in entrepreneurship, (taken classes/courses in entrepreneurship or in other related fields like business, experience as a teacher, or is an entrepreneur).MUST have a stable internet connection and a working personal computerRespond to messaging/emails within 24 hoursWrite & speak professional/native level English languageAble to take initiative on tasks and ideas.Good creative thinking skills, we are looking for people who can create unique events.A background in teaching entrepreneurship is preferred.Availability to attend weekly video meetings by video on Mondays at 4pm PT / 7pm ETTime Commitment : THIS IS AN UNPAID, REMOTE #WFH VOLUNTEER POSITION. Although this is a volunteer role, given our startup-like functioning, we only seek active volunteers who are energized, ready to engage and make an impact.Please be prepared to contribute at least 5 hours a week for at least the next 6 months.

As we invest heavily in training each volunteer, we humbly request that if you are unable to meet this time commitment, that you do not proceed with our application further. All volunteers must attend their department’s team meeting or 1-1 meeting every week. We enforce a 24 hour response policy to promote a smooth workflow and mindfulness towards ongoing projects/deadlines that team members are working on.We are able to accommodate volunteers who need time off for exams, work, family events, etc as long as these commitments are appropriately conveyed as soon as possible.Benefits : We are a certified Presidential Volunteer Service Award (United States) organization that can award you certified volunteer hours for the time you work.
