OverviewA produce inspector is responsible for physically inspecting fresh produce during the growth and harvest process.

Produce inspectors will also grade the product in accordance to the USDA guidelines.Responsibilities/DutiesEnsure quality of manufactured goods.Inspect goods as they are finished.Examine materials from suppliers before sending them to production line.Using USDA and customer specification, grade product for quality, condition, weights, and size.Ensure produce is kept at proper temperature.Perform quick visual inspections.Record pass/fail grade of products.Weigh product and samples to verify packaging weight.Compare color, shape, texture, or grade of product or material with color chart, template, or sample to ensure consistency.Use thermometers, voltmeters, moisture meters, or tensiometers to test products.Understand the use of the tools needed for quality inspections to include sizers, scales, calipers, and other measuring devices.Collaborate with USDA Produce Inspectors for needed quality federal inspections to ensure resolution of issues.Requirements:2+ years of experience as a produce inspector

(Required)High school diploma or equivalent qualification.Experience in a production environmentA minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.Excellent knowledge of MS Office.Good math, technical, and communication skills.Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.Shift Availability2nd shift and 3rd shift OnlyPay Rate:$22/hr-$24/hrLocation:NOTE:This job opening is in Monroe, New Jersey 08831
