As an employee of USC, you will be a part of a world-class research university and a member of the "Trojan Family," which is comprised of the faculty, students and staff that make the university what it is.The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Vision Center, are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Associate Professor or Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and Chief of Ophthalmology.In this position, the successful candidate is expected to spend time in clinical education related to specialty areas and provide clinical service with cataracts, cornea, eye movement, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, retina, retinoblastoma and other conditions. The remainder of the time will be in administration, teaching and research.Each candidate must share and demonstrate a personal commitment to the values shared by CHLA and the Keck School of Medicine of USC, including respect, excellence, service, knowledge, and teamwork. Candidates must be board certified in Ophthalmology, and have strong clinical, research, and leadership/management experience in a children's hospital and/or academic pediatric department affiliated with a university medical school, with a minimum of 10 years progressive experience, and an increasing scope of responsibility, including faculty and trainee mentoring and program development.The Vision Center is one of the country's leading and largest pediatric ophthalmology programs, and a preeminent referral center, attracting families from across the country and around the world. The Visions Center's in-depth knowledge and experience allow us to manage and correct the most complex childhood eye conditions. Our team partners with parents and caregivers and ensures the care and compassion we provide match our medical excellence.Programs and ServicesCornea and Glaucoma Program:

treatment of children with glaucoma, cornea problems and cataracts. Treatment is personalized and complex procedures are undertaken when needed to safeguard and restore a child's eyesight.Eye Movement (Strabismus) Program:

specialists treat children with all eye movement disorders, including measuring and managing eye misalignment in children, non-surgical eye treatment and eye surgery to provide care that is effective and as minimally invasive as possible.Retina Program:

One of the largest pediatric programs in the country which delivers innovative therapies and performs complicated surgeries to preserve and restore a child's vision.Childhood Eye Cancer (Retinoblastoma) Program:
