As a key member of our executive team, you will drive our fundraising and development efforts to new heights. Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with our Board of Directors, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategic vision. This role offers a hybrid work option and requires occasional flexibility in hours, including evenings and weekends, to align with the dynamic nature of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and StrategyPartner with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and implement our strategic plan.Guide the development team and coordinate with other departments to ensure our goals are met.Oversee annual planning and budgeting for the development department, setting clear and achievable goals.Keep the CEO and Board updated on fundraising progress and challenges, making recommendations as needed.Represent our organization in public forums and build relationships with donors, community leaders, and peers.

Fundraising and MarketingCreate and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including major gifts, planned giving, annual funds, special events, and grants.Develop and implement marketing strategies to support fundraising efforts, including creating promotional materials and social media content.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and community leaders.

Donor EngagementFoster a donor-centered approach, building strong relationships and emphasizing our mission and impact.Implement a donor recognition program to celebrate and acknowledge contributions.Develop strategies for cultivating major gift prospects and manage relationships through personalized engagement and stewardship activities.Collaborate with the CEO and Board to solicit major gifts and develop tailored proposals.

Operations and AdministrationEstablish effective systems for fundraising operations, including gift processing and database management.Build and manage a budget aligned with our strategic priorities.Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance fundraising efforts.

Team LeadershipLead and mentor a high-performing development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Develop performance metrics and evaluation tools to ensure team effectiveness.Emphasize our core values—Person-Centered, Relational, Opportunistic, and Stewardship—in all team interactions and organizational activities.

QualificationsProven executive-level fundraising experience, preferably in a mid-sized organization.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with donor database software such as Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge/NXT.Passion for our mission and a deep understanding of nonprofit values and principles.Successful track record in grant writing and securing funding from various sources.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in public speaking and stakeholder relations.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and a driving record that meets insurance requirements.Commitment to working with diverse teams and an ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Salary(150,000 - 175,000)
