Description
Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is looking for a talented Sr. Business Analyst who will own analytics and develop solutions to drive insights and optimization for the Carrier Services team. As a member of this team, you will have an opportunity to be a thought leader in Amazon Logistics and work with a group of talented program managers, product managers, research scientists, software developers, and business leaders to design the Amazon network of the future.
As you further your career as a Sr. Business Analyst at Amazon, you will focus on improving corporate reporting frameworks and data visualization. You will analyze performance data, discover and solve real world problems and build metrics and business cases to improve decision making. Key job responsibilities
Perform complex data analysis by applying statistics, analytical and business skills to identify opportunities to reduce fulfillment costs as well as improve efficiencies and customer experience
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to identify process and system improvement opportunities to drive key business decisions
• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use
• Dive deep into various optimization systems, operational processes, and delivery partner/operator experience, and identify insights that influence the direction of product
• Partner with Operations, Product, Program and Finance stakeholders, gathering requirements and delivering end-to-end solutions
• Communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing
• Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of the existent program implementation
• Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations
• Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for datasets and model data and metadata to support ad-hoc and pre-built reporting
• Drive small to medium operational enhancement projects and research and recommend cost reduction opportunities
• Lead regular business review with partner teams to monitor the progress of projects in the roadmap
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of business or financial analysis, product costing, procurement, or a quantitative role experience
5+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience using BI Tools (Tableau, OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy)
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Experience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
