Sibley Memorial Hospital - Johns Hopkins Medicine, is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital located in the Palisades neighborhood of Washington, DC.
The Stroke Nurse Navigator functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team who has clinical nursing expertise in Stroke. She/he is a clinical resource, advocate, and educator with the goal of helping patients overcome health care system barriers and facilitate timely access to treatment and follow up care. She/he is responsible for ensuring all patients with a stroke/TIA diagnosis receive quality and comprehensive services. She/he will coordinate patient care across the continuum from diagnosis through survivorship. The Stroke Nurse Navigator is also responsible for concurrent and retrospective review of stroke patient records, to abstract data on compliance with stroke core measures and hospital stroke policy and to provide relevant data to the appropriate regulatory agencies.

What you will need:
1. Three years' of nursing experience with 2 years in Stroke Patient Care preferred.
2. Current District of Columbia RN licensure or eligibility.
3. Minimum nursing baccalaureate degree from an accredited school.
4. Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) credential from the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing. If not certified, must obtain within 12 months of hire date.
5. NIH Stroke Scale and CPR Certification required.
Salary Range: Minimum $43.57 per hour - Maximum $67.53 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
