Essential Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources (e.g., web analytics, sales data, customer behavior) to generate actionable insights and recommendations.

Performance Monitoring:

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for eCommerce activities, including conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, average order value, and more.

A/B Testing:

Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to optimize website performance, user experience, and marketing campaigns.

Data Visualization:

Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.

Customer Insights:

Analyze customer data to understand behavior patterns, segment customers, and provide insights for targeted marketing and personalization strategies.

Market & Competitor Analysis:

Conduct analysis of market trends and competitor performance to inform strategy and identify opportunities for growth.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the eCommerce, marketing, and product teams to align data insights with business objectives and drive cross-functional projects.

Data Integrity:

Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across all eCommerce systems. Document the flow of transactional and master data between systems to ensure a single source of truth of data and to identify inconsistencies. Make recommendations on appropriate data flows and input controls for key master data (customer and products data)

Qualifications & Expertise:

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but if you have mastered data without the degree and you meet the remaining requirements, apply.

Experience:

4+ years of experience in eCommerce data analysis

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software:

SQL

Advanced Excel

Tableau or similar

Data Architecture:

Understanding of data design, database schemas, data flows/ETL, and storage best practices.

Analytical Thinking:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable strategies.

Attention to Detail:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing and analyzing data.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaboration:

Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with various departments to achieve shared goals.

Adaptability:

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.

Nice to have:

Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce)

Google Analytics experience

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in data analytics or digital marketing are advantageous.

Programming:

Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis is a plus.

Day in the Life:

In this role, your day will revolve around working with data from various systems like Shopify, Zoho, and Excel, ensuring accuracy and providing actionable insights to fuel business growth. You'll begin by gathering and cleaning data from these platforms, ensuring its integrity across systems, and diving into any discrepancies you encounter.

You'll analyze this data, identifying trends and patterns that can help improve our customer acquisition, retention, and overall business strategy. Whether through automated workflows or ad-hoc reporting, you'll regularly develop visualizations and reports that provide clarity on key business metrics like sales performance, customer behavior, and product trends.

You'll frequently interact with the marketing team, finance, business development, product, and customer success, as your insights directly influence their decisions. Additionally, you'll collaborate with the IT team to develop automated data workflows, making processes more efficient. As the go-to person for data, you'll play a vital role in driving the eCommerce business forward.
