Job SummaryThe Global Procurement and Vendor Management Team (“P&VM”) is seeking a Business Management Leader with a background in overseeing all processes involved in acquiring products and services needed for efficient business operations. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Global Head of Procurement & Vendor Management and should have broad business process knowledge, with a heavy emphasis on procurement processes and the interdependencies with multiple stakeholders across the firm. This role is the connectivity to providing synergies between procurement and managing vendor risk from a process and data integrity perspective.
Primary ResponsibilitiesThis individual will have a dedicated focus within P&VM to support all aspects of data and operations. This individual will be expected to work closely with P&VM peers in delivering consistent, strategic process and data-driven results. This candidate will absorb current operational roles and have the opportunity to deploy strategies, processes and resources as necessary.
In this capacity, this role will be responsible for:
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and maintain quality standards
Providing problem-solving and innovative ideas to support internal customers. Identify value-generating opportunities (e.g. savings and efficiencies)
Partnering with the leaders for Procurement and Vendor Management to drive strong, consistent measurable results
Understanding of market data management and data integrity and the process to support it
Leading team that supports Procurement Operations and offshoring resources that support P&VM
Serving as a primary point of contact for Global Technology & Delivery, Finance and Risk for data and administrative needs
Maintaining and updating the procurement process to meet the evolving business needs
Leveraging spend analytics to identify consolidation opportunities, understand total cost of ownership, and rationalize opportunities.
Developing and maintaining procurement metrics (Performance Indicators, benchmarking & SLAs)
Providing current procurement reporting on a recurring basis.
Qualifications
Robust interpersonal skills - self-aware, accountable, and empathetic
Procurement and financial systems experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Process, Finance, Business Management or similar field is preferred
Financial and analytics background
Six Sigma Black belt a plus
10 plus years of experience leading projects within an investment firm and/or financial institution, with market data experience
Demonstrated project management and management consulting capabilities
Skilled at influencing others through growth and change
Strong written and communication skills
