Our purpose is to empower and equip people to run their businesses more profitably and efficiently.The Operations Leadership Trainee is an entry level position into salaried leadership which provides the structure, time and guidance for an individual to learn the various aspects of a WebstaurantStore distribution center, as well as the expectations of our leadership team. Reporting to the Distribution General Manager, the Operations Leadership Trainee will be working 1st Shift upon completion of their training rotation. The training rotation will include time in receiving, inventory, and shipping departments. The goal for a Operations Leadership Trainee is to graduate from the program and be placed into a permanent leadership position within the facility.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Support the management of day-to-day decisions of the assigned department/shift regarding performance, process and leadership.Learn and understand the process of each department/shift, make connections as to how each department interacts with each other, and identify areas of improvement.Actively engage in leadership discussions and demonstrate the ability to apply WebstaurantStore leadership principles to daily workMonitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for assigned departments; identify and resolve operating issues as needed, including support of corrective actions and progressive discipline processInteract with employees regularly to promote a high level of engagement and ensure all safety regulations / rules are followedOther duties as assignedEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE· While management experience is preferred, we welcome applications from recent graduates or individuals with relevant internship or project experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.· Experience working in a distribution environment preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESProficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understandingDemonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligenceCustomer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectationsAbility to work off-shift as required to respond to urgent needsService leadership approach with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
