The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead of Strategic Planning reporting to the VP of Corporate & Capital Planning.

This position works on-site in Miami Florida.

Position Summary:A Lead is a critical member of Royal Caribbean Group's Corporate Strategy team focused on supporting corporate brand and functional leaders navigate a dynamic operating environment and execute complex organizational initiatives while also working cross-functionally to set the long-term strategic vision for the corporation. Functioning as an internal consulting group, you will join a high-performing team comprised of former management consultants and current travel and tourism industry veterans that follow a growth-minded apprenticeship development model.

Royal Caribbean Group's Corporate Strategy team is looking for a driven self-starter with the ability to develop data-driven actionable insights for our senior executives. This position will be responsible for leading complex analyses, developing insights, and delivering solutions that will identify opportunities for growth within our core business (ocean cruise), identify opportunities to expand our ecosystem into the broader vacationing industry, and drive performance improvement across our brands and shared service areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supports the creation and development of the company's Strategic Plan working with company leaders and stakeholders around the company.Prepares and evaluates financial models for economic/financial research and analyses for development of business strategies and subsequent analyses of results including underwriting corporate investments and evaluating potential asset acquisition and sale opportunities.Develops strategic insights based on internal and external data and business analysis including but not limited to analysis of markets, customers (e.g., consumer insights), and businesses.Gathers and distills competitive information and market analysis to create ideas and recommendations that may involve changes to the company's operating practices and market focus.Identifies improvement opportunities while displaying creativity, drive, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Must be comfortable with problem-solving in a context of uncertainty/imperfect information.Conducts comprehensive analysis of complex data with strong experience in gathering actionable insights.Uses financial analysis and other quantitative and qualitative techniques to assess a broad array of business issues and distill them into key items and proposed actions.Develops and implements enterprise-wide key performance indicators and works with business units across the organization to stay informed of KPI performance to influence decision-making.Interfaces effectively with all levels in the organization in a collaborative and respectful way.Handles/leads completion of ad-hoc questions/issues/projects as they arise making recommendations where appropriate.Together with Corporate Strategy Manager(s), contributes towards the management, mentorship, and development of a small team of junior and senior analysts.Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:Bachelor’s Degree required and MBA strongly preferred; three to five years of business analytics, business analysis, and/or consulting experience.Strong financial acumen with analytical/quantitative skills.Familiarity with statistical/analytical tools and ROI models required.Strong statistical and mathematical skills desired.Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and capital markets desired (e.g., capital allocation, discounted cash flows, and return metrics).Understanding of microeconomic and macroeconomic principles is preferred.Must be willing to reside in South Florida.Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of personnel.Position requires knowledge of how value is generated as well as desire to develop in-depth familiarity with the vacation industry and RCG’s mission, vision, and strategies.Strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to digest and synthesize large amounts of data and information into executive-level reports and documents.Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information to the cruise business including ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion.Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with a solid background in financial modeling.Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.Proficiency with statistical/analytical tools such as Hyperion Studio, Essbase, SAS, and R is a plus.Experience with Bloomberg and Factset is a plus.Demonstrated oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including executive-level presentation experience.Demonstrated track record of success in achieving high-impact business results in a multi-business line work environment.High energy and sense of urgency required.Ability to multi-task and work under deadline pressure.Willingness to work hard and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
