Director of Dreamline Program, Director of Conway Community Center, Director of Human Development/Workforce Programming, Director of Sports and Leadership, Director of Research and Evaluation, Manager of Conway

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Vice President of Programming (VPP), as a key member of the senior leadership team, leads the planning, strategic oversight and direction, implementation, and evaluation of Sanneh’s integrated programming.

The VPP is responsible for ensuring that evidence-based program design and implementation are:

in accordance with the Sanneh Foundation mission, values, and core program elements

acknowledges community assets and addresses community needs in a manner that is consistent with best practice.

Position Expectations:

Key responsibilities for the VPP are management and leadership over program design, delivery, analysis/reporting and improvement; community engagement and partnership; and resource development.

Management and Leadership

Collaborates with leadership to develop and manage resources to ensure a strong and stable organization and mission delivery.

Provides leadership to program directors/managers, supporting each of them in setting and achieving their annual goals in line with the strategic framework and budget needs.

Oversees programming financials including budgeting and forecasting for both expenses and revenues.

Evaluates, manages and coaches programming staff to high levels of performance and professional growth.

Fosters a positive, collaborative, fun, and cohesive work environment.

Program Design, Analysis and Development

Oversees the design of youth and community centered programs that are aligned with the strategic priorities of the Foundation, including dual track programming.

Evaluates potential new programming for alignment, feasibility and impact.

Oversees program analysis through data collection, surveys and focus groups within each program.

Uses data and community input as well as best-practices research to inform, assess and improve program efficacy.

Community Engagement/Partnership

Leads strategy and efforts to engage community/partners, including participants, partners, volunteers, and public agencies, in the development and implementation of youth and community centered programming and initiatives.

Resource Development

Collaborates with the Advancement team in developing grant proposals to secure resources for the operation and sustainability of Foundation’s programs/initiatives.

Collaborates with grant management to ensure financial strength through private, corporate, and government grants.

OTHER

Serves as the lead staff for the Foundation’s Programs Committee.

Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree and comparable work experience in nonprofit management, public administration, education, social work or a related field.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing and managing programs including:

Design

Implementation

Partnership Development

Analysis

Reporting

Evaluation

Improvement

Scaling and capacity building

Minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience.

Experience in building partnerships with internal and external constituents in a diverse community.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience at a non-profit community-based organization.

Project management experience.

Experience in design and evaluation of professional development training.

Excellent people skills with the ability to relate well to people from varied backgrounds.

Demonstrated ability to provide effective performance and professional development coaching.

Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegation, and facilitation.

Ability to lead continuous improvement and implementation strategies.

Ability identify, develop and evaluate varied strategic options.

Ability to set goals and objectives, and successfully manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Ability to handle sensitive and extensive confidential data.

Demonstrated commitment to serving populations of youth and families from marginalized communities.

Commitment to an inclusive workplace and equity in all aspects of society.

Excellent written and oral communicator with demonstrated ability to speak to partners, clients, funders, donors and volunteers.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Google Workplace.

Ability to represent Sanneh Foundation in a positive and professional manner in all settings.

WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION

Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area (This is not a remote position).

Normal working hours – Monday - Friday.

Working hours may include evenings, holidays or weekends depending on deadline requirements and special events.
