As a Senior Director Procurement, you will be responsible for developing and executing source-to-pay value chain strategic initiatives for all businesses and all geographies across STERIS. Additional responsibilities include: developing roadmaps, processes, and tools to support risk management strategy, ESG Supply Chain Strategy, technology readiness, and change leadership. This role is responsible to understand new and existing technologies and processes across the Supply Chain, and how to best leverage standard processes and technologies in the future. This leader will drive efficiency, cost reduction, and transformation across the organization.What you will do as a Senior Director Procurement

As a visionary thought-partner for procurement activities, identify, develop, and implement strategies for key procurement functions, processes, systems, and categories that transcends divisions and business units.Will lead the creation of a collaborative supply chain automation roadmap for all businesses in collaboration with Senior leaders in the organization.Analyzes gaps in the procurement organization and propose solutions.Lead transformational procurement change and drive company-wide adoption of Supply Chain strategy, best practices, and controls.Leverage lean tools along with technology to support strategy and adoption.Develop and implement methods to monitor and measure effectiveness of Supply Chain strategies.Work closely with procurement teams both in corporate and at sites to support in talent development and career paths for team members.Provide insights, trends, and updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders on strategic information that may impact business operations, plans, and growth.Embed risk management approach within the Supply Chain teams culture to better enable proactive risk management.Develop and leverage strong relationships with key stakeholders – Procurement, Operations, IT, Planning, Systems teams, Finance.Ensure Supply Chain visibility, controls, and metrics are established and maintained.Ensure processes and systems comply with regulatory, quality systems, and established standards.Identify and implement system and process improvement opportunities with an ultimate goal of standardization and automation.Recruit, hire, develop, assess, mentor, engage, coach, lead, and retain diverse and high-performing team members.Develop and sustain a continuous improvement culture within the Supply Chain organization.Experience, skills, and abilities needed

Bachelor’s Degree (supply chain, business, or other related)12+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or related fields.5+ years of management experience.Proven track record of driving process improvements, cost savings and efficiency gains.Demonstrated multiple business unit leadership experience and proficiency in leading global Procurement teams, preferably in healthcare or related industry.Strong understanding of category management, supplier relationship management and risk mitigation.Experience working in a global or multinational organization.Demonstrated knowledge/experience in advanced operational practices (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma).Excellent people leader skills and leadership abilities.This is a remote role with the expectation of frequent travel. Dependent on home base location 25-50%.What STERIS offers
