Sr. NEPA Project Manager

We are seeking a full-time Senior NEPA Project Manager who will have responsibility for managing a portfolio of large, complex environmental projects for our Federal Clients, such as the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and will be responsible for the successful and profitable outcome of those projects. Projects will include Environmental Assessments (EA), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Phase I and Phase II Environmental Baseline Studies (EBS), Natural Resource Assessments, Hazardous Materials Management, and Regulatory Compliance with Federal and state regulations, most notably the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), and the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The Senior NEPA Project Manager will oversee top-level client communications and spend most of their time working on projects. Participation in Business Development activities will be required through client relationship development, proposal preparation, and representing SRS at select industry events.Duties/Responsibilities:Serve as manager of environmental consulting projects and contracts with key federal customers such as the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service, and the Environmental Protection Agency.Communicate openly and frequently with clients during projects to ensure that all issues are addressed efficiently and to the clients' satisfaction.Execute planning for projects, including development of the project scope, staffing plans, estimates of effort and other required resources, and schedules necessary to complete the project.Support completion of complex projects, such as NEPA documents with an emphasis on environmental assessments, consultations for ESA and NHPA, and permit applications for Section 404 and 401 of the CWA.Conduct document and data reviews and write technical documents (Description of Proposed Action and Alternatives [DOPAAs], Environmental Assessments [EAs], Environmental Impact Statements [EISs], Findings of No Significant Impact [FONSIs], Findings of No Practicable Alternatives [FONPA], Records of Decision [RODs], Section 106 and 7 Consultation packages, etc.).Help ensure that required environmental impact analyses are conducted pursuant to the NEPA and the Council of Environmental Quality regulations.Write technical reports and provide project document quality control; reviewing for sufficiency, technical accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.Assist in the preparation of project management plans.Engage in regular coordination with internal project teams to ensure schedules remain on track.Assist in the development of environmental studies in consultation with project managers and technical staff.Monitor changes in environmental statutes, regulations, and policies and advise the leadership team regarding relevant current and pending environmental compliance requirements.Contribute to a variety of federal and state NEPA and planning documents, including permitting applications.Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Department of Defense (DoD) clients to maximize contract and project opportunities.Meet with key clients and potential clients to promote capabilities and foster client relationships.Support preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and business development materials.Execute and track all personal time expenditures in a manner consistent with meeting utilization objectives.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
