These values guide how we get our work done: Patients, Affordability, Accountability & Service Commitment, Decisiveness, Innovation & Thoughtful Risk; and how we treat each other: Diversity & Inclusion, Integrity & Respect, Learning, Continuous Improvement & Personal Growth, Teamwork & Collaboration.Essential Functions:Manage and triage a case load of J-1 initial requests for research fellows and graduate student trainees, ensuring requests meet J-1 regulatory requirements and following-up with hosting departments for additional information as needed.Manage and triage a case load of J-1 amendment, extension and internal transfer requests ensuring requests meet J-1 regulatory requirements and following-up with hosting departments for additional information as needed.Manage a caseload of H-1B requests under supervision of senior staff - including making posting notices, running LCAs, assembling and filing I129s, and tracking case process with USCIS.Initiate H-1B withdraw process as needed.Act as the Training Program Liaison (TPL) for MGH, BWH and MEE.Compile, review and submit J-1 physician applications to ECFMG - ensuring each physician is matched with the correct training program.Complete validation process for new arrivals.Notify the GME office when non-standard training programs need to be registered with ACGME to allow for J-1 participants.Work with GME and hiring departments to ensure compliance with hospital and ECFMG policies.Conduct required twice a year audits and complete required notifications of offsite rotations, early departures, leaves of absence or serious incidents.Serve as a resource for physicians and hiring departments about the ECFMG hiring process.Answer inbox questions from departments and visa holders about the visa process - including how to submit an application, processing timelines, where to find information on travel and how to sponsor dependent family members.Present at orientation as part of a regular rotation of facilitators.Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of J-1, H-1B and ECFMG regulations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required in business, international studies or related field. Experience may be substituted for degree.Minimum 2 years experience in an office position with at least 1 year of experience with immigration.U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Residence status required by federal regulations for ARO certification.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
