Summary:

CHS is seeking a results-oriented, highly analytical and innovative individual to oversee and enhance the project management function through effective leadership and implementation of industry best practices in its digital and information technology organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in setting up and leading PMOs, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to right-size practices for the organization's maturity level. The Senior Director, Enterprise PMO will manage a large team of project managers and collaborate closely with functional teams to drive project excellence and business transformation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Executive Leadership: Confident leading meetings with executive stakeholders, making and influencing decisions, documenting progress, and resolving issues quickly and collaboratively.

People Management: Provide strategic oversight and leadership to the project management function, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations while delivering projects on-time and within budget.

Project Planning: Develop and manage comprehensive plans, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation, to ensure the successful execution of technology projects.

Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with IT, Cybersecurity and Business stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement: Advance the Project Management function. Constantly assess the status quo, identifying opportunities for improvement, optimization and providing constructive solutions to simplify and accelerate current initiatives and processes.

Change Management: Proactively manage changes to project scope, schedule and budget, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained and stakeholders are adequately informed.

Budget and Cost Management: Working closely with Finance, monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities to ensure the program remains within budgetary constraints.

Reporting: Report with established regular cadence or ad hoc on select project or program to executive management or other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Required Education: Bachelor Degree in Business, Management or Computer SciencePreferred Education: Master Degree in Business or Management.

Required Experience:

12+ years proven experience in leading and managing a PMO in a large enterprise environment, with a focus on strategic alignment and performance improvement.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project objectives.

Proven leadership within a matrix organization involving management of people, process and resources, which are being allocated across simultaneous projects all having immovable deadlines and high levels of importance and visibility.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet, and familiarity with industry-specific software and systems.

Flexibility and adaptability to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with the ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and make data-driven decisions to drive project success.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in healthcare.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices.

Deep involvement in digital or other enterprise transformation initiative.

Required License/Registration/Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Equivalent.Preferred License/Registration/Certification: Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.

Computer Skills Required: Google Suite, Project Management Tools (SmartSheet, ServiceNow).

Physical Demands:

The Employee is required to read, review, prepare and analyze written data and figures, using a PC or similar, and should possess visual acuity.

The Employee may be required to occasionally climb, push, stand, walk, reach, grasp, kneel, stoop, and/or perform repetitive motions.

The Employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and; therefore, job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found within general office or administrative work.
