Pediatric/Neonatal Advanced Practice ProvidersFull TimeJob SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the safe delivery of care in collaboration with attending physicians, fellows and residents. This team member will meet productivity expectations as set forth by the Division Chief, performing any duties related to patient care activities that are appropriate and clearly delineated.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $91.17 - $124.10 (Hourly Rate).Department DescriptionThe Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital provides extraordinary high-level care for children who require continuous monitoring. The unit has 20 beds for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery.The Pediatric Transitional Care Unit (TCUP) is a 16-bed unit for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery.Required QualificationsNurse Practitioner IMinimum of two (2) years of recent experience working as an RN in a Pediatric ICU or Pediatric Acute Care setting.Applicants lacking PICU RN Experience will be trained to cover Transitional Care only.Master's Degree in Nursing with an Acute Care pediatric nurse practitioner specialization.Nurse Practitioner IIMinimum of 6 months PICU or Pediatric Acute Care NP Experience.NPs lacking PICU experience will be trained to cover TCUP only.Preferred QualificationsMinimum of three (3) years of experience working as an AC-PNP in a level III Pediatric ICU.License/CertificationCalifornia driver's license (CDL) if required for position.Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work. Accepted Certifications for this position: CPNP-AC.Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice.Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day.Current AHA BLS.Current AHA PALS.State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.About UCSFAt UCSF Health, our mission of innovative patient care, advanced technology and pioneering research is redefining what's possible for the patients we serve.
