Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Anesthesia Coding Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anesthesia coding and billing, ensuring accurate coding of medical services for reimbursement purposes.
Duties
Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures
Review patient records for accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines
Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation
Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 and medical terminology
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Requirements
Current CPC certification (CANPC not required but a definite plus)
Proficiency in medical coding systems and software
Knowledge of medical office procedures and medical collections
Familiarity with ICD-10 coding standards
Strong understanding of medical terminology and medical records
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
This is a senior level professional fee coding position with at least two (2) or more years of recent experience in anesthesia and pain coding. Anesthesia Coder staff key duties include reviewing documentation to assign appropriate CPT/ASA codes using the CPT-4/ASA manual and established criteria. Anesthesia Coder will work with clinic supervisors and/or providers to resolve coding issues and questions, following applicable payer rules and guidelines. This individual will also work with members of the Billing Management team to address coding issues and concerns.
Please note
that this position could also require charge entry duties outside of pure coding.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
