Job Description:

The Senior Product Manager oversees the end to end management of assigned products, services and programs including features, benefits and characteristics that meet customer needs and are priced to meet the Bank's profit and loss objectives. This role is responsible for formulating strategy, policy and overall direction of the identified product or suite of products portfolio.

Depth & Scope:

Recognized as a strategic thinker with significant in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in a complex field.

Accountable for major functional areas with mass or niche products/segment suite.

Generally accountable for a significant product management area that typically has enterprise wide impact.

Senior specialist providing advisory services to executives and business segment leaders.

May lead on product programs and projects on behalf of the business.

Solves unique and ambiguous problems with broad impact.

Develops and maintains a robust understanding of the regulatory requirements, customer, market, and industry.

Oversees and ensures the clear and effective delivery of products and services to the customer.

Acts as Subject Matter Expert for product-related inquiries.

May lead business plans leveraging Acquisition and Segments teams.

Liaises with partners to understand industry and customer trends.

Builds and maintains effective relationships with sales distribution and key stakeholders.

Designs end to end process for development, implementation, use, reporting and feedback.

Directs and coordinates market research to determine underlying customer needs.

Participates in the day to day management of the product(s).

Adheres to enterprise frameworks or methodologies.

Delivers financial results for the product/product suite.

Supports Senior Management as a subject matter expert.

Conducts ongoing industry and competitive analysis.

Keeps current on emerging trends/developments.

Ensures effective product policies and processes are established.

Oversees product management deliverables within budget.

Champions the development of the annual business plan.

Identifies and manages risks associated with the product/segment.

Develops/maintains productive working relationships with distribution channel owners.

Is knowledgeable of and complies with Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct.

Maintains a culture of risk management and control.

Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree or product certificate.

10+ years relevant experience.

Previous Product experience required.

Experience in leading strategy strongly recommended.

Advanced knowledge of product research, analysis, and development.

Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends.

Ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities.

Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams.

Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions.

Skill in preparing and managing budgets and P&L.

Knowledge of analytical software tools and reporting techniques.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
