Terraphase is seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior-level Hydrogeologist to join our team in our Portland, OR office. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hydrogeological principles and practices, with a strong background in managing complex projects and providing expert guidance on groundwater management and remediation strategies, while effectively supporting business development efforts. The role entails significant responsibilities for client engagement, project management, and staff development.
The Role
Lead hydrogeological investigations, including field work, data collection, and analysis.
Conduct groundwater modeling and analysis.
Prepare technical reports, proposals, and regulatory submissions in compliance with Oregon State environmental regulations.
Provide expert technical guidance on groundwater management and protection strategies.
Collaborate closely with team and clients to achieve project goals, solve challenges, and meet deadlines.
Apply analytical, analytic element, and numerical groundwater models for contaminated site investigations and water resource projects.
Analyze and interpret well testing, geophysical, and hydrogeological data, preparing comprehensive reports.
Support well drilling, wellhead protection, water rights, and geologic/hydrogeologic investigations, including hydrogeologic testing and visualization.
Plan, manage, and participate in projects and client/regulatory meetings.
Drive business development through client presentations, proposal writing, and professional society participation.
Mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and ensuring technical excellence.
Who You Are
Hold an advanced degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Registered Geologist (RG) or Hydrogeologist (LHG) license/certification in the state of Oregon.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in hydrogeology consulting or a related field.
Familiarity with Oregon environmental regulations and permitting processes.
Expertise in groundwater modeling software and GIS applications.
Well-versed in well drilling techniques.
Skilled in the installation and operation of groundwater monitoring instrumentation.
Strong technical skills in modeling analysis.
Exceptional technical writing abilities.
Experience in project management and business development.

Compensation for this position is based on years of experience, technical expertise, technical education, and geographic location with a range of $105,000-$155,000+
