A DRW portfolio company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure that supports our SaaS and data products. You should have a deep understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and backend systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. This is a senior-level role, and we are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across major platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and others.
Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and performance.
Manage and automate infrastructure setup using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Maintain and optimize backend systems, databases, and storage solutions.
Collaborate with development, product, and data teams to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of applications and services.
Monitor cloud services for uptime, performance, and cost-effectiveness, and propose improvements.
Manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues quickly to minimize downtime.
Keep up with industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve our infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a related role.
Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) including architecture, security, and scaling.
Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with backend systems, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and distributed systems.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
Solid understanding of networking, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
Certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Cloud Architect).
Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies.
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
Familiarity with GPU infrastructure, performance monitoring, and workload optimization.
The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. Base salary is only a portion of total compensation, which may also include variable compensation and/or benefits.
