Aurorium is committed to operating at the highest levels of manufacturing consistency, quality control and safety.Description The Staff Accountant performs various tasks to ensure daily accounting activities are in compliance with GAAP and will be responsible for the documentation, compliance and monitoring of accounting policies, procedures, and controls. This position will also interact with other corporate departments and assist them in their tracking and planning of costs. The Staff accountant provides financial information to management through research and analysis of accounting data and prepares reports accordingly.Job Details

Role Specific Responsibilities:Prepare of monthly journal entriesPerform balance sheet reconciliations monthly and investigate variancesReview SGA expenses compared to budgetResponsible for updating static data in SAP for actuals and planning purposesPrepares and analyzes working capital accounts and makes accounting entries as appropriatePrepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends as necessaryCommunicates with external auditors and assist in audit preparation as requiredContributes to team effort by accomplishing projects as neededMaintains accounting controls by documenting policies and procedures.Prepare sales & use and property tax returns timely and submit paymentsReport on payroll and headcount dataAssist with projects in AR and APPerforms other duties as assignedCompliance:

Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangementsReports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents, and near misses promptlyActs in a safe and responsible manner at all timesProblem Solving and Innovation:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent requiredCPA preferredExperience:

1-3 years of professional experience in an accounting and finance environment requiredManufacturing or chemical industry experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
