SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE.This position is part of our Advanced Safety and User Experience segment (AS&UX).Summary:Aptiv's Advanced Safety group pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today; and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms piloting automated vehicles.The Advanced Sensor Fusion and Tracking Team locates at Agoura Hills, CA Tech Center. This team provides the most advanced sensor fusion and object tracking algorithms within Aptiv that meet the requirements of L1-L3 autonomous driving system.Responsibilities:Explore the cutting-edge radar perception technologies.Prototype and evaluate the new sensor fusion and tracking technologies.Work closely with other global teams to generate the perception roadmap.Work closely with other team members to kick off new advanced projects.Design, integrate, test and release algorithms to internal and external customers.Help resolve the challenging perception problems from different global programs.Provide technical support to evaluate Aptiv's next generation radar sensor.Collaborate with the downstream teams to support the L2+ and L3 autonomous driving system.Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):Master's degree in engineering or relevant field.3+ years' experience in sensor fusion and object tracking.Well understanding of state estimation and data association algorithms.Critical & proactive thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.Knowledge of Machine Learning.Basic knowledge of radar signal processing.Proficient in C++ and Python.Experience with version control and issue tracking tools on large collaborative projects (Plastic, Git, Jira, Jenkins or similar).Flexibility to change to different perception tasks.Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):PhD in Engineering or relevant field.Good understanding of ASPICE.Knowledge of vehicle dynamics.Familiar with Matlab.Experience with ROS.Experience in code profiling and optimization.Experience in DevOps tools.Why join us?You can grow at Aptiv.
