OVERVIEW:Advance your career as a Full-time General Manager, where you'll be the driving force behind our branch business. From developing and executing a sales plan in your market, to inspiring a culture of excellence in business-to-business selling, your leadership will shape the success of the entire team. Your leadership will be the compass guiding the branch to new heights. This position is for our branch located at 2270 Southwind Ave, Colby, KS 67701.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Developing and executing a sales plan in a local territory to reach and exceed business goalsDemonstrating excellence in business to business selling on a daily basisEffectively communicating business statistics and progress toward goals to motivate the performance of othersModeling and promoting career opportunities to personnelDeveloping and training others to achieve optimal business results as well as personal goalsPerforming other duties as needed to ensure branch success
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as neededPossess at least one year of Fastenal or related sales experiencePossess a degree in Business/Marketing OR have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local marketExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient computer skillsHighly motivated and self-directed with the ability to motivate othersDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitiesDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skillsLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkLift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbsPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Prior managerial experience and product knowledge
