Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. seeks a full-time Vascular Neurology/Neurohospitalist Physician & Stroke Director to: diagnose and evaluate adult patients presenting with complex neurological diseases and conditions; plan and implement patient treatment programs with an emphasis on vascular neurological conditions; participate in utilization and quality assurance reviews, and Medical Group physician activities/programs, including call coverage for neurological patients proportionate to other similarly situated physicians. This position works at various locations including The William W. Backus Hospital and the Ayer Neuroscience Institute in Norwich, CT; Windham Hospital; Hartford Hospital; MidState Medical Center; The Hospital of Central Connecticut; Charlotte Hungerford Hospital; and St. Vincent's Medical Center.
Qualifications
The minimum requirements for the Vascular Neurology/Neurohospitalist Physician & Stroke Director position are: a U.S. medical degree or its foreign equivalent; completion of a four-year residency in Neurology and one-year fellowship in Vascular Neurology; board eligibility or certification in Neurology and Vascular Neurology; and possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license.
